I'm ashamed of myself for how jealous I am of your seeing yann tiersen. he is to me (excuse the analogy) the 'Good Will Hunting' of musical score. I perceive a relationship between him and the notes that I am hopeless to ever experience the inside of, no matter how deep my love for a moving tune.

Also, what's a zither?

The Einsturzende Neubauten performance I am coveting as well. There is something very natural in the connection of Germans/Austrians and industrial music. It's almost as if the sternness of the language and the steely cloud-covered German sky are perfectly expressed in the dissonant and insistant beats.

In response to your inquiry, I don't know which departments are sponsoring the courses, but I can tell you our professors' names and the departments they teach in. For my evolution course, Douglas Palmer, a "freelance science writer and lecturer for the University's Institute of Continuing Education" is at the helm. For the Landscapes course, we have Nicholas James, of the Department of Archeology.

I wanted to let you know we will be arriving in Cambridge the morning of August 5th, and that I leave for Belfast on the 18th. I know that will be crunch-time for you as far as your dissertation, but I am really looking forward to meeting you and maybe giving you a hug. (It's a thing with me, ask Tim. Hope that doesn't put you off :)
